Vince Houghton, director of the International Spy Museum, returns to take me on a wild tour of missions and schemes that almost happened, but were ultimately deemed too dangerous, expensive, ahead of their time, or insane.  These include weaponing animals such as eavesdropping cats, spooky glow in the dark foxes, and one plan to strap incendiary bombs to bats!  He reveals some of the CIA’s wackier attempts to take out Castro, the nazi scientist who tried to build a sun gun, and the Florida meteorologist who thought it would be a good idea to use a nuclear weapons to blow up hurricanes.  But just when you think it couldn’t get any crazier, Vince discusses the project that inspired the title of his new book - the U.S. military plan to nuke the moon!

Order Vince Houghton's book Nuking the Moon: And Other Intelligence Schemes and Military Plots Left on the Drawing Board on Amazon, Audible, and in bookstores.  Today's podcast was sponsored by The Skimm and AncestryDNA.

Newlywed comedian and "elder millennial" Iliza Shlesinger returns to talk about her new comedy special and give me a little advice for my own upcoming nuptials.  She defends a bride’s right to be a "princess" on her special day, explains why it’s never as simple as just "saying yes to the dress," and makes the case for doing away with the traditional bouquet toss.  Iliza also reveals how her walk down the aisle wasn’t exactly what she planned (and neither was the groom’s reaction!) and why she suddenly had to cut her European honeymoon short.  She talks about how this milestone has influenced her act, how she got to shoot her latest comedy special on an aircraft carrier, and weighs in on everything from online dating and who makes the first move to shamanic journeys and the most terrifying sound of all...peacocks!

Watch Iliza Shlesinger's new comedy special ILIZA SHLESINGER: ELDER MILLENNIAL on Netflix.  Follow her on Twitter at @Iliza and visit www.iliza.com for more fun stuff.  Some of her upcoming tour dates include Honolulu, HI (8/4), Calgary, CA (8/12), Edmonton, CA (8/18), and Portland, OR (8/24 & 8/25).  Today's podcast is sponsored by Purple Mattress and GooglePlay.

20 years ago comedian Ali Siddiq served six years in the Texas state penitentiary, and now he’s returning to the cellblock for his new Comedy Central standup special Ali Siddiq: It’s Bigger Than These Bars.  On today’s podcast, Ali talks about the incident that landed behind bars, and why he says “mental prison” is far worse than physical prison.  He discusses how he started his comedy career by telling funny stories to his fellow prisoners, how he convinced the Bell County Jail to let him back in for his new standup special, and some of the surprising changes he saw in both the inmates and their guards. He recalls starting out in showbusiness on the modern day equivalent of the “chitlin' circuit,” reveals why his favorite comics are all old white guys, and answers which is the tougher audience…comedy club-goers or hardened criminals.

Comedian Brian Reagan talks about his very first standup act, the worst gig he ever had, and the double-edged sword of being labeled a "clean comic."  He reveals why he doesn’t like to see his audience, why he never plays the town he lives in, and the incredibly weird audition that got him on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Plus Brian has a bone to pick with whoever invented tennis scoring, and he offers his sage advice for Middle East peace.

Anthony Atamanuik, host of Comedy Central's The President Show joins us for the 200th episode of Kickass News!  Anthony reveals what goes into his dead-on impersonation of the President, he shares his mixed feelings about having his own fortunes tied to those of Donald Trump, and explains why he thinks "The Donald" is a lot more like "an old lonely dowager" than the macho man he pretends to be.  Atamanuik describes how Trump is not that different than the guys he grew up with in Massachusetts, he recalls what it was like to attend a Trump rally dressed up as the man himself, and he dishes about his online feud with fellow Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin.  Then at the end of the podcast, Anthony Atamanuik will step aside and allow "President Trump" to answer a few of my questions about Valdimir Putin, his marriage to Melania, and more.

The President Show airs Thursdays at 11:30 Eastern on Comedy Central.  For more information including full episodes, behind the scenes extras, and bonus content visit www.cc.com/shows/the-president-show.com Follow Anthony Atamanuik on Twitter at @TonyAtamanuik.

Today I talk with comedian Louie Anderson, who won an Emmy for his role as "Christine" on BASKETS, and Martha Kelly, who plays the brilliantly deadpan "Martha" on BASKETS.  Louie talks about starting out as a joke writer for the king of the one liners - Henny Youngman, coming up as a young comedian in the heyday of the legendary Comedy Store, and getting his big break on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, plus Louie reveals which of his family members inspired his chactacter "Christine" on BASKETS.

Martha Kelly talks about coming up in the Austin comedy scene, and how her  BASKETS co-star Zach Galifianakis and Jonathan Krisel convinced her to take the role of "Martha."  Then BASKETS show-runner, executive producer, and director Jonathan Krisel talks about why he often prefers to work with non-actors, how the show got past the audience's preconceived expectations, and what it's like working with his co-creators Zach Galifianakis and Louis C.K. on BASKETS and his co-creators Fred Armisen and Carry Brownstein on his other show Portlandia

Season 2 of BASKETS premieres tonight at 10/9C on FX.  For more information including bonus content, behind the scenes footage and cast and crew interviews, visit www.FXNetworks.com.  Follow Louie Anderson at Louie Anderson at www.LouieAnderson.com or on Twitter at @LouieAnderson.  If you want to see Louie perform live, check his upcoming tour dates.  Follow Martha Kelly on Twitter at @MarthaKelly3 or at www.MarthaKelly.net.
